Welcome to CampusCart. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the CampusCart mobile application and web platform (the "Service"). Please read them carefully before using our Service.
By creating an account, accessing, or using CampusCart, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not access or use the Service.
We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. We will notify users of material changes via push notification or in-app notice.
You must be at least 17 years old and a student, staff, or faculty member of a registered educational institution to use CampusCart.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You must provide accurate information during registration and keep your profile information up to date.
Each user may maintain only one account. Sharing account credentials or creating multiple accounts is prohibited and may result in account suspension.
You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.
CampusCart operates as a campus-scoped marketplace. All listings, transactions, and interactions are limited to your selected campus community.
Sellers must provide accurate product descriptions, pricing, images, and pickup instructions. Misleading listings may be removed without notice.
Prohibited items include but are not limited to: illegal substances, weapons, counterfeit goods, stolen property, adult content, academic fraud materials (e.g., fake assignments, exam answers), and any items that violate your institution's policies.
Buyers and sellers must conduct themselves respectfully. Harassment, threats, discrimination, or abusive behavior will result in immediate account suspension.
CampusCart does not guarantee the quality, safety, or legality of any listed item. Users transact at their own risk.
Peer-to-peer (P2P) listings allow any user to sell or trade personal items within their campus community.
P2P sellers must accurately describe the condition of items (New, Like New, Good, Fair). Misrepresenting item condition is a violation of these terms.
Negotiation is permitted on items marked as negotiable. All price agreements should be finalized before meeting for exchange.
CampusCart is not responsible for disputes arising from P2P transactions. We encourage users to resolve disputes directly or contact support for mediation.
Campaigns are group-buy events created by registered sellers. Campaign orders may require upfront payment via eWallet or bank transfer.
Campaign sellers must fulfill all accepted orders within the stated timeline. Failure to deliver may result in seller suspension and reporting to campus authorities.
Campaign buyers must upload valid payment proof when required. Fraudulent payment proofs will result in order cancellation and potential account suspension.
CampusCart does not hold or process campaign payments. Payment is made directly between buyer and seller. We provide the platform for coordination only.
CampusCart uses a Campus On Delivery (COD) model for standard orders. No online payment gateway is used for regular product purchases.
Payment is exchanged in person between buyer and seller at the agreed pickup location on campus.
Sellers must honor the listed price at the time of purchase. Price changes after order acceptance are not permitted.
For campaign orders, payment methods (eWallet QR, bank transfer) are specified by the campaign seller. Payment proof upload is required.
CampusCart and its original content (excluding user-generated content), features, and functionality are owned by CampusCart and are protected by intellectual property laws.
By posting content on CampusCart (product images, descriptions, messages), you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute that content within the platform for the purpose of providing the Service.
You retain ownership of your content and may delete it at any time. Deletion removes the content from active display but cached copies may persist temporarily.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the CampusCart application or service without prior written permission.
Your use of CampusCart is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.
By using the Service, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in the Privacy Policy.
We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption, hashing, and access controls to protect your data.
CampusCart is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.
CampusCart does not guarantee uninterrupted, secure, or error-free operation of the Service. We are not liable for any loss of data, revenue, or damages arising from your use of the platform.
CampusCart is a marketplace platform only. We are not a party to any transaction between buyers and sellers. We do not guarantee the quality, safety, legality, or delivery of any product or service listed on the platform.
In no event shall CampusCart's total liability exceed the amount you have paid to CampusCart (if any) in the 12 months preceding the claim.
CampusCart is not responsible for actions taken by other users, including sellers who fail to deliver products or buyers who fail to pay.
You may delete your account at any time through Settings & Privacy. Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these terms, fraudulent activity, or behavior that harms other users or the platform.
Upon termination, your right to use the Service immediately ceases. Data retention after termination is governed by our Privacy Policy.
For disputes between buyers and sellers, we encourage direct resolution between the parties. CampusCart support may assist with mediation but is not obligated to resolve disputes.
For disputes with CampusCart, you agree to first attempt informal resolution by contacting us at support@campuscart.app.
These terms shall be governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which CampusCart operates.
